Marjorie Mae (Hart) Winters, 94, of Linton, passed away at 5:37 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2005 at Terre Haute Regional Hospital.

Born June 23, 1911 in Greene County, she was the daughter of Lloyd and Hulda (Casner) Hart. She had been married to John Winters, who passed away in 1997.

She was a homemaker and a waitress and cook for Glenburn Home and the Southern Steakhouse in Bloomfield, along with other area restaurants. She was a member of the Linton First Baptist Church.

Survivors include: a daughter Delores Lechien of Linton; four grandchildren, Rick Lechien and his wife Lesley of Linton, Dana Cubert of Anderson, Robin Wren of Pendleton, and Lorie and her husband Bryan Cullison of Linton; a brother Joseph Hart of Switz City; two sisters, Ruth Michaels of Bedford and Maxine Mooney of Cleveland, Ohio; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John, a son-in-law Ronald E. Lechien, and two sisters, Nellie Hogue and Verna Frost.

Graveside service was Monday at Switz City Cemetery with the Rev. David Tyra officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Glenburn Home Activities Department.
