Rex Richard Kinnaman, 73, of Apollo Beach, Fla., and formerly of Linton, passed away Monday, Dec. 5, 2005 at his residence.
Born May 7, 1932 in Linton, he was the son of William Berl and Celia (Wools) Kinnaman.
He had worked as a clerk for Peabody Coal Company and moved to Florida from Linton in 1996. He was a member of the Apollo Beach Community Church and American Legion Post 22, F&AM Lodge 560, BPO Elks Lodge 866, and Moose Lodge, all of Linton. He was a 1950 graduate of Linton-Stockton High School and was an Army veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include: his wife Shirley J. (Armstrong) Kinnaman of Apollo Beach, Fla.; two sons, Mark W. Kinnaman and Matthew W. Kinnaman, both of Friendswood, Texas; a sister Luanne Bellamy of Linton; and five grandchildren, Tony, Kamee, and Kristina Kinnaman, Cindy Brannum and Cassie Brannum.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home Linton Chapel with the Rev. David Tyra officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linton where military graveside rites will be conducted by the Linton American Legion.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, and after 9 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
