Ellen May (Nail) Wright, 77, of Linton and formerly of Westphalia and Sandborn, passed away at 11:12 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2005 at Greene County General Hospital in Linton.
Born May 18, 1928 in Elnora, she was the daughter of Eli Thomas and Irene (Wilson) Nail. On Nov. 17, 1945, she married Dora Blueford "Bill" Wright. He passed away July 14, 1959.
She worked in the home health care service, retiring in 1988 and was a member of the Sandborn Baptist Church. She also enjoyed working with crafts, ceramics, bingo and being with others.
Survivors include: three daughters, Juanita Gilbert of Linton, Shirley and her husband Ron Marsh of Owensville, and Jessie and her husband Don Allen Angleton, Texas; three sons, John Wright and his wife Sharon of Sandborn, Harry Wright and Tom Wright, both of Linton; a step-son Joe Wright and his wife Melba of Mooresville; nine grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; several step great-grandchildren; two step great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Deloris and her husband Bob Lynn of Plainville, and Wanda and her husband Larry Woodruff of Odon; and three brothers, Melvin Nail, Bob Nail of Linton and Norman Nail of Paragon.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband "Bill," one great-grandchild, and one brother.
Funeral service will be at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel at 2 p.m. on Friday with the Rev. Mark Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Marco Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today, and from 9 a.m. until the hour of service Friday at the funeral home.
