Louise Kittle, 99, of Jasonville, passed away at 9:55 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 3, 2005 at Shakamak Good Samaritan Nursing Center in Jasonville.
Born March 4, 1906 in Sullivan County, she was the daughter of Otis and Leora (Snellenberger) Mullens. She had been married to Phillip Kittle, who passed away Jan. 9, 1953.
She was an Avon representative in Hammond and active in PTA as a past president. She was a member of the Friendly Grove Baptist Church, where she was very active in her work in the church. She was very active in the Indiana Baptist Convention (ABC) where she held several state offices. She was very enthusiastic about her fishing.
Survivors include: two daughters, Ruth Dodgson of South Bend and Mona Pilant of Crown Point; three sisters, Carrie Lee Pilant of Lewis, Dorothy Pilant of Jasonville, and Norma Bemis of Coalmont; six grandchildren, Steven Stinson, Luann Kaczynski, Todd Stinson, Leah Magnuson, Philip Hough and Marvin Hough; six great-grandchildren, Kelcey Magnuson, Trey Magnuson, Stephany Kaczynski, Ian Stinson, Amber Hough, and Corey Hough; three step-grandchildren, Susan Dodgson, Jane Reisdorff and Martha Magliola; and five step-great grandchildren, Ben Heroux, Hannah Reisdorff, Rebecca Reisdorff, Matthew Magliola, and Shelly Wicks.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Phillip, three sisters, Nellamae Criss, Ressa Raley, and Anna Muriel Shew, and two brothers, Cecil Mullens and Floyd Mullens.
Funeral service was at 11 a.m. today at McClanahan-Lee Funeral Home in Jasonville with the Rev. Harold Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Friendly Grove Cemetery in Lewis.
Visitation was Sunday and from 9 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home.
