Nancy E. Rupert Burnette, 66, of Indianapolis, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2005.
In 1957, she graduated from Linton-Stockton High School and went to Indianapolis to work for Indiana Bell as a Toll Operator. On Feb. 1, 1958, she was joined in marriage to William O. "Red" Burnette. They were married for 47 years. She was baptized at the Linton Christian Church and attended Seerley Creek Christian Church and Lakeview Christian Center.
Survivors include: her husband William O. "Red" Burnette; children, Laura Burnette Kivett, Scott A. and Ronald T. Burnette, Ruthann Burnette Lemmert; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a brother Royce Rupert.
She was preceded in death by Ruth and Elmer Moss, and Glenn Rupert, her parents.
A memorial service will be with Pastor Lou Stoops officiating at Flanner & Buchanan Funeral Center, Decatur, on Saturday at 5 p.m. Following cremation the burial will be at Washington Park North Cemetery.
