Norma Snellenberger, 85, of Jasonville, passed away at 4:14 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 10, 2005 at Royal Oaks Health Care & Rehabilitation Center in Terre Haute.
Born Dec. 20, 1919 in Clay County, she was the daughter of Alfred and Edith (Rector) Cooprider. On Nov. 6, 1936, she married Cecil "Jack" Snellenberger. He passed away Dec. 5, 1998.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Friendly Grove Baptist Church of Lewis.
Survivors include: three daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn and Ralph Mullens of Jasonville, Shirley and Jerry Johnson of Lillington, N.C., and Sharon and Wayne Phipps of Angier, N.C.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Nancy Snellenberger of Jasonville, and Carey and Marsha Snellenberger of Jasonville; a sister Mary Barcus of Farmersburg; a brother Leroy Cooprider of Farmersburg; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Cecil, a sister Wilma Husband, and a brother William Cooprider.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday at McClanahan-Lee Funeral Home in Jasonville with the Rev. Harold Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Friendly Grove Cemetery in Lewis.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Saturday, and 10 a.m. until service time Sunday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Friendly Grove Baptist Church or Friendly Grove Cemetery.
