Anna Elizabeth Moyes, 96, of Bloomfield, passed away at 12:51 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2005 at her residence.
Born Aug. 13, 1909 in Owen County, she was the daughter of Winfield and Dollie (Maners) Hill. She had been married to Fred J. Moyes, who passed away in 1968.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Nazarene Church of Newberry, where she taught Sunday School and was the President of the missionary committee and trustee and head of the fundraising committee.
Survivors include: seven daughters, Shirley Fay Cox of Bloomfield, Priscilla May Kaiser of Jasper, Evelyn Henson of Zephyrhills, Fla., Mary Alice Edmonson of Mount Carmel, Ill., Frances Garrett of Greenwood, Bernardine White of Manassas, Va., and Phyllis Joan Rissman of Bloomington; two sisters, Violet McFarland and Mary Hatfield, both of Lyons; caregivers and grandchildren, Bobby Cox of Bloomfield and Monica McCrary of Vincennes; 27 grandchildren; 61 great-grandchildren; 54 great-great grandchildren; and seven great-great great-grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Fred, a sister Goldie Roach, a granddaughter, a great-great grandchild, and four sons-in-law.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Friday at the Newberry Church of the Nazarene with Brother William Purcell officiating. Burial will be in Prairie Chapel Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield, and one hour prior to service Friday at the church.
