KEENES, ILL. - Wilma Wilson, 86, of Keenes, Ill., passed away at 2:45 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, 2005, at Country Side Manor in Mt. Vernon, Ill.

Born April 6, 1919 in Orchardville, Ill., she was the daughter of Willie and Nora (Vest) Russell. On April 9, 1936 in Fairfield, Ill., she married Wayne Wilson. He passed away on Oct. 28, 2000.

She had retired from Wayne City Garment factory. She was past President of the United Garment Workers Local and a charter member of Wayne City Piecemakers Quilt Guild. She was a member of the Hickory Hill Home Extension for over 50 years and a 4-H leader for many years. She was a member of the Garrison Temple United Methodist Church.

Survivors include: four daughters, Glenda and her husband Robert Murphy of Bloomfield, Dixie and her husband Robert Woods of Keenes, Ill., Sandra Dunkel of Mt. Vernon, Ill., and Rhonda and her husband Gregg Barnard of McLeansboro, Ill.; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; a sister Fawn States of Cisne, Ill.; sisters-in-law, Ruth Schnake of Centralia, Ill., Martha Warren of Mt. Vernon, Ill., Betty Wilson of Tampa, Fla., and Wilma Wilson of Belleville, Ill.; and brothers-in-law, Niel and his wife Imogene Wilson of Bluford, Ill., Guy Shehorn of Flora, Ill., and Carl Robert and his wife Elizabeth Wilson of Texico, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three grandchildren, one granddaughter-in-law, an infant brother, three step-brothers, and one step-sister.

Funeral service will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Garrison Temple United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jim Allison officiating. Burial will be in Garrison Temple Cemetery.

Friends may call on Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. at Osborn Funeral Home in Dix and Wednesday from 10-11 a.m. at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Garrison Temple United Methodist Church or Garrison Temple Cemetery.
