TERRE HAUTE -- Raymond B. Crichfield, 80, of Terre Haute, passed away at 7:35 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 27, 2005 a St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born July 10, 1925 at Jasonville, he was the son of Harry and Margaret (Bryant) Crichfield. On April 18, 1958 in Jasonville, he married Joann Borders.
He was a retired tinsmith for Commercial Solvents, and a former area farmer.
Survivors include: his wife Joann of Terre Haute; two sons, Carl Crichfield and his wife Carolyn of Linton and Scott Alumbaugh of Linton; five daughters, Sally and her husband David LaClercq of Northport, Fla., Vicky and her husband Rob Robison of Linton, Carolyn Sue and her husband John Corey of Cory, Rhonda and her husband Andy Accardo of Northville, Mich., and Regina Young of Terre Haute; a sister Mary Ellen Searcy of Cartersville, Ill.; 20 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son Larry Crichfield, four brothers, Gene, Webb, and Oliver Crichfield, and Chelsea Carter, and two sisters, Olive and Elizabeth Crichfield.
Funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Thursday at DeBaun Springhill Chapel, Terre Haute, with the Rev. Ron Ricketts officiating. Burial will follow in Lebanon Cemetery near Jasonville.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
