Ted K. Pickard, 68, of Lewisville, Texas, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2005 in Texas.
Born Feb. 24, 1937 in Worthington, he was the son of Lyman and Virginia (Kirby) Pickard.
He was a retired heavy equipment operator and a veteran of U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include: his wife of five years Kathryn (Hale) Pickard of Lewisville, Texas; six children, Marcia Strow of Springfield, Ill., Jerry Straube and his wife Joanne of Memphis, Neb., Lisa Carter of Springfield, Ill., Laura and her husband Michael Glen of Fults, Ill., Dee and her husband Jimmy Smith of Springfield, Ill., and Teddie and her husband Frank Hall of Shawneetown, Ill.; a step-son Robert Gibson of Little Rock, Ark.; 17 grandchildren; two great-grandsons; and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother Virginia Kubert, step-father John Kubert, father Lyman Pickard, and step-mother Thora Pickard.
Funeral service will be at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Worthington at 1 p.m. on Tuesday with the Rev. Bill Beckelheimer officiating. Burial will be in Worthington Cemetery.
Friends may call after noon Tuesday at the funeral home.
