Donal E. Collins, 59, of Dugger, passed away Saturday evening, Oct. 8, 2005 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute.
Born Jan. 20, 1946 in Muncie, he was the son of Dana L. (Huxhold) and Robert A. Collins.
He worked several years at Marhofers in Muncie, served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam, and was a member of the American Legion Post 224 of Dugger and the Isaak Walton League Conservation Club of Huntington.
Survivors include: his wife Linda L. (May) Collins of Dugger; three daughters, Cristeena Collins of Muncie, Tammy Kinsey of Markle, and Kelly Frye of Jasonville; three sons, Richie Collins of Montpelier, Shane Collins of Fort Wayne, and Joey Collins of Huntington; three sisters, Carroll Gibson of Winchester, Carolyn Curtis of Portland, and Lolita Morris of Muncie; and 18 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home Linton Chapel with Gerald O. Moreland officiating. Burial will follow at Dugger Cemetery. American Legion Post 224 will conduct military graveside rites.
Friends may call from 5-9 p.m. on Tuesday, and after 9 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
