Naomi Violet Workman, 104, of Bloomfield, passed away at 4:15 a.m. Friday, Oct. 14, 2005 at Greene County General Hospital in Linton.
Born Nov. 16, 1900 in Greene County, she was the daughter of John Wesley Axe and Minnie Rusher. She had been married to Ora A. Workman, who passed away in 1983.
She was a school teacher with Fairplay Township Schools and a member of the Bloomfield United Methodist Church.
Survivors include: a son Guy Workman and his wife Barbara of Bloomfield; two daughters, Wilma and her husband Paul Edelman and Nina and her husband Sam Crowe, all of Bloomfield; 10 grandchildren; one step-grandchild; and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ora, two brothers, Harold and Herbert Axe, and a sister Ester Byers.
Funeral service was conducted Sunday at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home, Bloomfield, with the Rev. Lynn Snyder officiating. Burial was in Prairie Chapel Cemetery.
