Lelah R. (Sinders) Gallagher, 91, of Jasonville, passed away at 4:50 a.m. Thursday, October 20, 2005, at Sullivan County Community Hospital in Sullivan.
Born June 20, 1914 in Clay County, she was the daughter of Richard and Nellie (Dysert) Puckett.
She farmed and was owner/operator of Coalmont Grocery Store, Corner Market and Nanlee Nell Dinette. She was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter Nancy Sinders of Coalmont, a step-son Cedric Cox, and a grandson Jay Sinders of Coalmont.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Clee Sinders, who passed away January 18, 1961, her second husband Michael H. Gallagher, who passed away November 28, 1987, a sister Muriel Bledsoe, four brothers, infant Puckett, Brawn Puckett, Joseph Puckett, and Luther Puckett, and three step-sons, Mike Gallagher, Phillip Gallagher, and Cecil Gallagher.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday at the McClanahan-Lee Funeral Home in Jasonville with Pastor Harold Thomas and Pastor Brad Stout officiating. Burial will be in K of P Cemetery in Hymera.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
