Rebecca Rehmel, 51, of Linton, passed away at 2:15 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, 2005, at her residence.
Born June 1, 1954 in Washington, she was the daughter of John Elton and Bonnie Silvia (Fiddle) Chestnut. On April 6, 1996, she married Brent Alan Rehmel.
She was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving from 1979 to 1985, during which time she received the Air Force Commendation Medal, Training Ribbon, Longevity Service Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, Overseas Service Long Term, Basic Military Honors and the Small Arms Expert Rifle Ribbon. She was a graduate of the University of Nevada Las Vegas with a BA in communications. She worked as a consultant for Borg Warner in Muncie for three years.
Survivors include her husband Brent Rehmel of Linton and her daughter Jewell Amber Miller of Aurora, Colo.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, William E. and Jerry W. Chestnut.
Funeral service will be held at the Welch & Cornett Funeral Home Linton Chapel at 11 a.m. on Wednesday with the Rev. Jimmy Baldwin officiating.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 5-9 p.m. and after 9 a.m. on Wednesday until the time of service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Greene County Humane Society through the funeral home.
