Carl E. Figg, 83, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2005 in Denver, Colo.
Born March 15, 1922 in Sullivan County, he was the son of Stella Carrico and William Hamilton Figg. He married Betty Miller in 1945.
He was a Union High School graduate and attended Bradley College. He was a business man. He was a Marine and saw active duty in the Pacific Islands.
Survivors include: his wife Betty, a daughter and son-in-law Rita and Larry Heinrich of Centennial, Colo.; a son Dennis of Scottsbluff, Neb.; a sister Ruby King of Dugger; five grandsons and their families, Kevin and Angela Figg of Laramie Wyo., Scott, Diana, Lilli and Laci Heinrich of Isle of Palms, S.C., Jeffrey and Beth Heinrich of Denver Colo., Zachary Heinrich of Marble, Colo., and Josh Heinrich of Overland Park, Kan.
He will be buried with military honors at Fort Logan Cemetery, Lakewood, Colo. Pastor Johnny Cawlfield from Stillwater, Okla., will be officiating.
Horan & McConaty Funeral Home of Aurora, Colorado is in charge of arrangements.
