William D. Russell, 63, of Hymera, passed away at 9:04 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2005 at the Clarian Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born July 13, 1942 in Clearfield, Pa., he was the son of Doyle Russell and Elva McCracken Russell.
He was a member of the Hymera Sons of American Legion Post 298, Sullivan Eagles, and Local 841 Operating Engineers.
Survivors include: his mother Elva McCracken Russell of Hyde, Pa.; his wife Sharon Russell of Hymera; five sons, Buckshot Russell at home, William J. Russell and his wife Jane of Luthersburg, Pa., William D. Hansford and his wife Suzie of Sullivan, Ronald V. Hansford and his wife Carrie of Lockport, N.Y., and Jeremy J. Hansford and his wife Melanie of Jasonville; one daughter Wendy and her husband Bill Bowman of Grampian, Pa.; two brothers, Kenneth L. Russell of Hyde, Pa., and Lorence (Mick) Russell and his wife Janice of Saravista, Ariz.; one sister Sue and her husband Allen LaSpada of Clearfield, Pa.; nine grandchildren, Hanna, Zachary, Marina, Alex, Dakota, Katie, Meadow, Allenmichael, and Cooper.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday at Newkirk's Funeral Home in Dugger with the Rev. David Swalls officiating. Burial will be in the K&P Cemetery in Lyons.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, and before the service Saturday at the funeral home.
