Tom Mathew Bishop, 32, of Austin, Texas, passed away at 2:05 p.m. Sunday, on Sept. 11, 2005 at Seton Medical Center in Austin.
Born Dec/ 28, 1972 in Linton, he was the son of Tom Edward and Martha (Roach) Bishop.
He was a chef at My Fresh Choice in Austin, Texas. He was a member of the Bloomfield Church of Christ. He sang with the Indiana University Singing Hoosiers. He also sang with the Acapella Christian Singing Group Soulstice. He graduated from the Texas Culinary Academy with a Cordon Bleu.
Survivors include: his parents Tom and Martha Bishop of Bloomfield; a sister Tamara and her husband Alan Ramsey of Austin, Texas; a niece Kaitlyn Joy Ramsey of Austin, Texas; a nephew Ethan Patrick Ramsey of Austin, Texas; two grandmothers, Lou Ellen Roach of Bloomfield and Leona Bishop-Miller of Speedway; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by two grandfathers, Charles Roach of Bloomfield and Joe Burns of Speedway, and a step-grandfather Robert Miller of Speedway.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Bloomfield Church of Christ with Brother Louis Garbi and the Rev. Erin Raper officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Bloomfield.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Friday at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home, Bloomfield and from noon until the hour of service Saturday at the church.
