Dalius E. "Dally" Parr, 74, of Dugger, and formerly of Keensburg, and Rochester, Ill., passed away at 8:05 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2005 at her residence .
Born Dec. 26, 1930 in Keensburg, Ill., she was the daughter of Earl and Edith Newkirk.
She was a self-employed beautician and owner of Miss Dally's Hair Fashion in Mount Carmel, Ill. She was a member of the Faith Community Church in Dugger, also the American Legion and VFW in Mount Carmel, Ill.
Survivors include: two sons, Nick Parr of Dugger and James Parr of Mount Carmel. Ill.; two daughters, Karen Parr of Dugger and Melanie Wray of Galveston, Texas; six grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Norman Ray Parr in 1988, three sons, Keith Parr, Richard Parr, and Kevin Parr, two brothers, Wayne Newkirk and Maurice Newkirk, and four sisters, Amanza Lane, Ethel Smith, Maxine Hollen, and Doyne McGrew.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Cunningham Funeral Home in Mount Carmel, Ill., with the Rev. John Booker officiating. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery in Keensburg, Ill.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. on Friday at Newkirk's Funeral Home in Dugger.
