SOLSBERRY -- Lucille (Thompson) Fowler, 92, of Solsberry, passed away Thursday, Sept. 15, 2005 at Hospitality House.
Born July 22, 1913 in New Hope, she was the daughter of Tom and Mabel (Gentry) Thompson. In 1933 she married Ivan S. Fowler, who passed away in 1992.
She was a dedicated homemaker for over 58 years. She was devoted to her family and friends. She was active in her church for over 50 years.
Survivors include: her son Donald Fowler and his wife Donna of Solsberry; her daughter Sandra Fowler of Solsberry; four grandchildren, Terri and her husband Tim Strauser of Solsberry, Cleo Vernon of Solsberry, Alex Scott of Bloomington, and Gary Fowler of Bloomington; one great-grandson Max Fowler; one brother Robert Thompson and his wife Mable of Ninevah; one sister Johnny Sample of Paragon; three sisters-in-law, Opal Young of Bloomington, Alice Ford of Riverdale, Calif., and Gertrude Thompson of Swayzee; two brothers-in-law, Bert Combs of Ellettsville and Kenneth Sullivan of Solsberry; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ivan, two brothers, John H. Thompson and Dwight Thompson, and two sisters, Hathern Neumeyer and Mary Borders.
Celebration services were Sunday at Allen Funeral Home, Bloomington, with the Rev. Rob Martindale officiating. Burial followed at Greene County Chapel Cemetery.
Visitation was Saturday and before the service Sunday at the funeral home.
