Sandra Kay Crowe, 67, of Jasonville, passed away at 6:51 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 22, 2005 at her residence.
Born June 20, 1938 in Cass, she was the daughter of Gilbert and Doris June (Bledsoe) Reynolds. On Nov. 19, 1960 she married Charles E. Crowe.
She was a teacher with 33 years of service at the Shakamak School System. She was an Indiana State University graduate, earning both a BS and MS degree in education. She was honored to have a dinner named after her for high elementary achievers. She was a member of the Lawton Street Christian Church, Indiana State Retired Teachers, Greene County Retired Teachers, Delta Kappa Gamma, Shakamak Teacher Lunch Bunch, Order of the Eastern Stars, Friends of the Library, and had served on several boards. She enjoyed making quilts, reading and traveling.
Survivors include: her beloved husband of 45 years Charles of Jasonville; two sons and daughters-in-law, Scott and Peggy Crowe of Jasonville, and Doug and Chris Crowe of Lima, Ohio; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Martha Jane and Conrad Edwards of Lyons, Betty and Roy Chambers of Dugger, and Barbara Cooke of Gainesville, Fla.; two grandsons, Jordan and Brodie Crowe of Jasonville; and two granddaughters, Natalie and Hannah Crowe of Lima, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and a sister who died in infancy.
Funeral service will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at the Lawton Street Christian Church in Jasonville with Pastor Mark Messmer officiating. Burial will be in Lebanon Cemetery in Midland.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at McClanahan-Lee Funeral Home, Jasonville. There will be no visitation before the service Saturday.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Greene County Breast Cancer Fund would be appreciated. Envelope are available at the funeral home.
