Ralph Junior McBride, 79, of Jasonville, passed away at 12:40 a.m. on Aug. 11, 2005 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute after an extended illness.
Born March 24, 1926 in Sullivan County, he was the son of Ralph and Hattie (Williams) McBride. In 1945, he married Madalyn Hayes.
He retired after 38 years of service as an electrician at Charles Pfizer, Inc. in Terre Haute. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of Jasonville First Baptist Church, the Jasonville American Legion Post 172, and the Jasonville VFW Post 6225.
Survivors include: his wife Madalyn McBride of Jasonville; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ron and Sheila McBride of Bloomfield and Jim and Jeannine McBride of Sebring, Fla.; three sisters, Inez Funk of Midland, Betty Stevenson of Jasonville, and Ruth Whitlock of Terre Haute; two brothers, John McBride of Bluffton and Charles McBride of Jasonville; four grandchildren and their spouses, Lyndi and Art Wooten of Bloomfield, Grant and Melissa McBride of Indianapolis, Bret McBride of Indianapolis, and Trent McBride of Indianapolis; a great-granddaughter Mariah McBride; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Bonnie McBride, and a brother James McBride.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday at McClanahan-Lee Funeral Home, Jasonville, with Pastor Brad West officiating. Burial will be in Lebanon Cemetery at Midland with military graveside rites.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today, and 9 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Jasonville First Baptist Church in honor of his memory. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
