Norma Grace Carter, 86, of Jasonville, passed away at 8:26 a.m. Friday, Aug. 12, 2005 at Terre Haute Regional Hospital.
Born Nov. 29, 1918 in Racine, Ohio, she was the daughter of Emmet and Lydia (Hughes) Holter. She had been married to Chelsea Carter, who passed away Dec. 24, 1996.
She was a retired LPN at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
Survivors include: two daughters and a son-in-law, Barbara and Dewey Funk of Jamestown and Dorothy Coleman of Jasonville; a son and daughter-in-law Richard and Pat Sturgeon of Clay City; a brother Gilbert Holter of Dover, Ohio; a half-brother David Holter of Columbus, Ohio; 13 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Chelsea, a son Charles Sturgeon, who passed away in 1986, and a sister Ada Roush.
There will be no public visitation or service.
McClanahan-Lee Funeral Home, Jasonville, is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
