Walter Alexander (Wally) Wintczak, Jr., 51, of Linton and formerly of East Chicago, Ind., passed away at 4:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2005 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
He retired from Indiana Harbor Belt Railroad. He had been a resident of East Chicago until 1996. He was a member of Knights of Columbus 1700 of East Chicago.
Survivors include: his wife of 30 years Vickie (Martin) Wintczak; daughters, JuYeon, Jenny, Annika, Laura, Hiromi, Julie, Duscia and Lea; his parents Walter A. Wintczak Sr., and Helen M. Wintczak; two sisters, Marian Steinhauer, and Barbara and her husband Jim Woermbke; two brothers, Ronald Wintczak and his wife Tammy, and Joseph Wintczak and his wife Leaha; several nieces and nephews; his god children, Mark, Christine, Laura, and Ashley; several great-nephews and nieces; and several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
Funeral service will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Ave., Highland, with Msgr. John Siekierski officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Lane Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. today at the funeral home
