BICKNELL ---- Elma Lee Hollars, 68, of Marco, passed away at 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2005 at Lyon's Nursing Home.
Born March 21, 1937 in Bicknell, she was the daughter of Robert Maxa Keene and Mary Katherine Malone. She had been married to Glenn Hollars, who passed away Aug. 7, 1997.
She was a nurse's aid. She was a member of the Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Linton, St. Annis Rebeka Lodge 274 of Bicknell, the Sandborn Eastern Star, the VFW Auxiliary of Linton, and the Ladies of the Moose, Theta Roe of Bicknell.
Survivors include: two daughters, Glenda L and her husband Ned Kent of Marco, and Mary Elizabeth Wilson of Linton; 10 grandchildren; three brothers, Larry Keene of Bunker Hill, Roy Max Keene of Ragsdale, and William Vernon Keene of Bicknell; and two sisters, Minnie Phipps of Bicknell, and Julie Shoptall of Bicknell.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Glenn, a son Delbert DeWayne Hollars, who passed away in 2004, and six sisters, Bertha Lagneau, Phyllis Keene, Sharon Sue Ellerman, Charlotte Ruth Smith, Anita Jean May and Janice McCary.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Friday at Duesterburg-Fredrick Funeral Home, Wampler-Shaw Chapel, 118 Washington St., Bicknell, with the Rev. Bishop officiating. Burial will be in Bicknell Memorial Mausoleum.
Family may call at 10 a.m. on Friday and friends from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
