Wanda Byrer, 81, of Odon, passed away at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, July 12, 2005 at her residence.
Born Feb. 26, 1924 in Clay City, she was the daughter of Ralph and Rosalie (Flynn) Miller. She had been married to Norman Byrer, who passed away May 22, 1984.
She retired from Uniroyal in 1973. She was a member of the Shiloh Church and the Odon Baptist Church. She was a member of the Moose Auxiliary, the VFW Auxiliary, and the American Legion Auxiliary in Washington.
Survivors include: a daughter Rita Gayle Cummings of Reston, Va.; two sisters, Lorene Frank of Linton, and Irene Waldrip of Florida; and a granddaughter Kim Cummings.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Norman, her brother Bill Miller and her special friend Kenny Kelsey, who passed away April 6, 2002.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Friday at Poindexter-Hall & McClure Funeral Home in Odon. Burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, and from 10 a.m. until the time of service Friday at the funeral home.
