Floy Effie Collins Everwine, 100, of Clay City passed away Monday, July 11, 2005 in the Shakamak Good Samaritan Center in Jasonville.
Born Sept. 13, 1904 in Clay County, she was the daughter of James and Rosetta Duncan Collins. On Sept. 20, 1924, she married Alfred Fourth "Hap" Everwine in Brazil.
She was a member of the Clay City Assembly of God and enjoyed flowers, gardening and cooking.
Survivors include: a son Dane J. Everwine and his wife Joan of Clay City; two grandsons, Greg Everwine and his wife Leellen of Fort Worth, Texas, and Tim Everwine and his wife Jenny of Crowley, Texas; three step-granddaughters, Rita Duncan of Switz City, Jackie Deschamp of Jasonville, and Margie Hudson of Jasonville; eight great-grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Alfred, a daughter Shirley Rose Everwine, a brother Clinton Collins, and three sisters, Christal Kent, Bernice Liechty, and Bertha Edmondson.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. today at Schoppenhorst Funeral Home, Clay City. Burial will be in the Sink Cemetery.
