R. Vivian Wilson-Garsnett, 78, of Bloomington, passed away Monday, July 18, 2005, at her daughter's residence in Stinesville.
Born June 10, 1927 in Coal City, she was the daughter of Walter and Lola Belle (Jones) Parks.
She was a former employee of RCA of Bloomington and was a member of the Ellettsville Church of Christ. She was an accomplished seamstress and loved to play cards, especially Canasta.
Survivors include: three daughters and sons-in-law, Beverly and Mike Nichols of Bloomfield, Becky and Brent Fontenot of Tampa, Fla., and Cheryl and Ray Stiles of Stinesville; 10 grandchildren, Michael Joe Nichols, Chad Nichols, Dustin Nichols, Chrystal Price, April Baughn, Autumn York, Summer Strous, Britt Shipley, Ryan Shipley, and Nikkie Shipley; one step-grandson Kaleb Stiles, 16 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Margaret Plummer of Mooresville and Harriett Robertson of Austin, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Joseph "Bud" Wilson, her parents, one granddaughter Angela Nichols, one great-granddaughter Jasmine Nichols, four sisters, Thelma Manship, Olive Hill, Gertrude Koon, and Patsy Musgrave, four brothers, Earl Parks, Phillip Parks, Max Parks, and J.D. Parks, and one half-brother Luther Parks.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday at Allen Funeral Home, 3000 E. Third St., Bloomington, with Bro. Johnie Edwards officiating. Burial will be at Valhalla Memory Gardens.
