William Earl "Pedro" Miller, 81, of Bloomfield, passed away at 7:45 p.m. on Saturday, June 11, 2005 at Lyons Health & Living Center, Lyons.
Born Dec. 4, 1923 in Bloomington, he was the son of Olan Dale and Goldie (Asher) Miller. He had been married to Mary E. (Hanson) Miller who passed away Aug. 9, 1992.
He was an Army veteran of World War II and was a retired railroad engineer at NWSC Crane. He was a member of the Bloomfield Church of Christ.
Survivors include: a step-son Jimmie Taflinger Sr., of Bloomington; a sister Betty Figg of Colorado; a step-sister Norma Jean Bock of Bloomfield; two step-grandsons, Jimmie Taflinger Jr., of Taylor, Texas, and Jason Taflinger of Bloomington; three step-grandchildren, Jennifer Taflinger, Jelaine Taflinger, and Joshua Taflinger, all of Taylor, Texas; four nieces, Patty Rollins and Carol Droll, both of Bloomington, Barbara Rowse of Ellettsville, and Rita Kay Heinrich of Colorado; and a nephew Danny Wayne Figg.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mary E. Miller and a sister Virginia Droll.
Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at Walnut Grove Cemetery with Rex Hudson officiating. American Legion Post 196, Bloomfield will perform Graveside Military Honors.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home, Bloomfield.
