DUGGER ----Virginia Ruth Squire, 82, of Dugger, passed away at 10:55 p.m. Tuesday, June 14, 2005, at Terre Haute Regional Hospital.
Born August 5, 1922 in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of Roy E. Brown and Pearl Mae Smith.
She was a member of the Bible Baptist Church in Dugger, taught junior church there, and taught Elementary Chapel at Zion's Hill Baptist School.
Survivors include: three sons, James Reynolds of Indianapolis, and John Reynolds and Tim Squire, both of Dugger; two step-sons, Jack Squire of Monrovia and Bill Squire of Brownsburg; six daughters, Judith Hollingsworth, Janet Marwell, Jean Habich, and Joyce Land, all of Linton, Kathy Berwick of Indianapolis, and Melany Page of Dugger; one step-daughter Holly Snook of Elkhart; one sister Barbara Walters of Indianapolis; 35 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Leonard W. Squire, who passed away in 2001, a son Jerry Lee Reynolds, four brothers, and two sisters.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday at the Bible Baptist Church in Dugger with the Rev. Steve Talpas and the Rev. Dan Toney officiating. Burial will be in the Dugger Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. on Friday at Newkirk's Funeral Home in Dugger.
