Elsie E. Toon, 87, of Bloomfield, passed away at 2:04 p.m. on Wednesday, June 22, 2005 at her residence.
Born Aug. 18, 1917 in Ogema, Wis., she was the daughter of Adolf and Elvina (Tesch) Erdman. She was married to Ronald V. Toon Sr., who passed away May 21, 2002.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Bloomfield United Methodist Church.
Survivors include: two sons, Ronald V. Toon Jr., of Bloomfield, and Fred A. Toon of Patoka; six grandsons, Shannon Toon of Orange, Calif., Steven Toon of Bloomfield, Ronald Toon of Granbury, Texas, Bradley Toon of Lewisville, Texas, Jade Toon of Terre Haute, and Andrew Toon of Terre Haute; a granddaughter Sara Goad of Bloomington; two step-grandsons, Mark Keltz of Merritt Island, Fla., and Michael Keltz of Granger; a step-granddaughter Jill DeLong of Indianapolis; 13 great-grandchildren; seven step-great grandchildren; a brother Albert Erdman; and three sisters, Emma Johns, Alice Campbell, and Anne Chancer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ronald V. Toon, a brother, a sister, a son Montgomery L. Toon, and a great-granddaughter Elizabeth Goad.
Funeral service will be conducted at noon Saturday at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home, Bloomfield, with the Rev. Lynn Snyder and the Rev. Billy Ed Hostettler officiating. Burial will be in Scotland Cemetery.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the hour of service Saturday at the funeral home.
