Eric Lee Bridges, 33, of Linton, passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2005 at Greene County General Hospital in Linton.
Born Jan. 21, 1972 in Terre Haute, he was the son of Roger and Janice (Barnes) Bridges. On June 2, 1991, he married Kristyn D. (Miller) Bridges.
He owned and operated Log Dog Construction, was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Vicksburg, and was a U.S. Air Force veteran of Desert Storm. He coached several Linton youth leagues, including baseball, football, and basketball, and currently coached the Linton Babe Ruth Red Team. He was an avid bass fisherman and a 1990 graduate of Linton-Stockton High School.
Survivors include: his wife Kristyn D. Bridges of Linton; a son and daughter, Kaleb Lee Bridges and Madisyn Danell Bridges, both at home; his parents, Roger and Janice Bridges of Linton; a sister Lori and her husband Gary Scott of Linton; maternal grandparents, Kenneth and Geneva Barnes of Linton; paternal grandparents, Donald and Betty Bridges of Jasonville; mother and father-in-law, Mike and Kathy Lee of Linton; brothers-in-law, Jay Miller and his wife Charlotte, Michael Miller, and Dane Lee and his wife Melissa; six nephews, Skylar and Jaran Scott, Jaydan Miller, Adam and Abram Neff, and Anthony Lee; and a niece Kelsea Scott.
He was preceded in death by a paternal grandmother Barbara Martin and his father-in-law Danny Miller.
Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home Linton Chapel with Pastor Doug Cassel officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery. The Linton American Legion and VFW will conduct military graveside rites.
Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. on Sunday, and after 9 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
