Ronald Dean Chambers, 72, of Bloomfield, passed away at 12:20 p.m. on Wednesday, June 22, 2005 at his residence.
Born Jan. 21, 1933 in Smithville, he was the son of Raymond and Kathryn (Burris) Chambers. He was married to Artie Orlena (Overman) Chambers.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force Korean War. He was a baker for Krispie Kreme Doughnuts and also worked for RCA in Indianapolis and Bloomington. He was a member of the Cincinnati Christian Church.
Survivors include: his wife Artie Orlena Chambers of Bloomfield; three sons, Ronald W. Chambers, Charles G. Chambers, and Larry D. Chambers, all of Bloomfield; three daughters, Diana I. Phillips of Springville, and Lynn Chambers and Crystal D. Sparks, both of Bloomfield; a sister Norma June Wright of Mount Juliet, Tenn.; a twin brother Donald Gene Chambers of Williams; a brother Dana Ray Chambers of Solsberry; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Patty, an infant sister Janice, a brother Monte and an infant brother Jerry Joe.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home, Bloomfield, with the Rev. Fred Couch and Rev. Kurtis Moffitt officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Bloomfield. American Legion Post 196 of Bloomfield will perform Military Honors.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Monday, and one hour prior to service Tuesday at the funeral home.
