Ruby Jean Hale, 78, of Worthington, passed away at 12:27 p.m. Saturday, June 25, 2005, at the Bloomington Hospital.
Born Oct. 22, 1926 in Worthington, she was the daughter of Ted and Mildred (Newsom) Hays. She has been married to Robert L. Hale, who passed away in 1985.
She was a homemaker and worked at the Worthington State Bank, post office, grain elevator, and retired from Dr. Ed Benjamin's office. She was a member of Folsom Memorial United Methodist Church, Tri Kappa, and a lifetime member of the Worthington V.F.W. and American Legion auxiliaries.
Survivors include: two sons, Rodney Hale and wife Connie of Millsboro, Del., and Rodger Hale and wife Karissa of Worthington; four granddaughters, Melissa S. and Carla K. of Delaware, and Christian Renell and Dakota Denise; two great-grandchildren Cody and Brinna; and a sister, Doris Shouse of Camby.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Robert L. Hale.
Service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Welch and Cornett Funeral Home in Worthington with the Rev. Mel Camp officiating. Burial will be in Worthington Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5-9 p.m. on Tuesday and 9 a.m. on Wednesday until time of service at the funeral home.
