Violet E. "Toots" Padgett Keller, 80, of Linton, passed away at 1 p.m. Friday, June 24, 2005, at Oak Village in Oaktown.
Born April 25, 1925 in Oaktown, she was the daughter of William M. and Bertha (Dickerson) Archer. She had been married to Robert Wayne Padgett, who passed away in 1978.
She was a member of the Otterbein Methodist Church in Linton, and the Moose Lodge and American Legion Auxiliary in Linton.
Survivors include: two brothers, John L. Archer of Bicknell and Billy Jo Archer of Catawba, Wis.; five sisters, Wilma Dawn of Oregon, Nellie Meeks of Oaktown, and Delores "Boots" Warth, Mary L. Hardesty, and Betty "Annie" Miller, all of Linton; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert Wayne Padgett, two brothers Percy Lee "Bud" Archer and Harland "Brownie" Archer and a sister Pauline "Jean" Beaman.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday at Newkirk's Funeral Home in Dugger with the Rev. John Monroe officiating. Burial will be in the Freelandville Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
