Edna Louis Wilson, 86, of Sullivan, passed away at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 30, 2005 at Sullivan County Community Hospital.
Born Jan. 1, 1919 in Sullivan County, she was the daughter of Oliver and Clara (Vaught) Butler. She had been married to Don L. Wilson, who passed away in 1995.
She was a lifetime resident of Sullivan County, where she and her husband operated Wilson Hill Orchards near Pleasantville for over 30 years. She was a member of the Indian Prairie Church, attended the Who So Ever Will Church in Dugger and was in the Eastern Star of Carlisle.
Survivors include: two daughters Linda and her husband Garry Decker of Franklin, Tenn., and Nina and her husband Egi Morning of Italy; two sons, Dr. Steve Wilson and his wife Pat of Vincennes, and Rick (Apple) Wilson and his wife Jackie of Cass; one brother Kenny Butler of Terre Haute; one sister Vada Hawk of Ridge Manor, Fla.; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Don, five brothers, Kyle, Con, Oliver, Dale and Hale Dean Butler, and one sister Lucille Vickery.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Newkirk's Funeral Home, Dugger, with Pastor Dan Dyer and the Rev. John Booker officiating. Burial will be in Indiana Prairie Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday and before the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Who So Ever Will Church building fund.
