Betty Joe Anderson, 77, formerly of Linton, passed away Sunday, May 8, 2005.
Born May 25, 1927 in Linton, she was the daughter of Donald G. and Ollie A. (Botsford) Lehman. She had been married to Jerry Anderson of Monte Rio, Calif. He preceded her in death.
Jerry and Betty owned and operated numerous restaurants, most recently Jerry's in Monte Rio. Calif. She turned in her apron in 2002 to return to Indiana for her final years.
Survivors include: two daughters, Rita Sue Shannon-Brown of Indianapolis, and Vicki Lynn Lindsey of Yuba City, Calif.; sons-in-law, Jimmy Lindsey and Larry Brown; one grandson Douglas Shannon of Cloverdale; two granddaughters, Kathy Frankhouser of Bakersfield, Calif., and Denise McCleese of Clermont; five great-grandchildren, Joseph, Dustin, and Danielle Shannon, Devin "slick" McCleese, and Zachary Frankhouser; one great-great grandchild Jesse Otto; and brothers and sisters, Phyllis Millick of Switz City, Ethel York of Newberry, Nancy Ulrich of Greenfield, Terry Botsford of Carmel, Donald Lehman, Charles Botsford, Conrad Botsford, and Amy Tucker, all of Linton.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Mary Gates, Martha Daly, Marjorie Hinkle, Ester Himebrook, Virginia Lehman, and Thyra Hartt.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Matthews Mortuary, 690 East 56th Street, Brownsburg. Burial will be in Brownsburg Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
