Verna Evelyn (Hart) Frost, 97, of Bloomfield, passed away at 10:20 p.m. Wednesday, May 25, 2005 at Beverly Health Care, Bloomington.
Born Oct. 9, 1907 in Plainville, she was the daughter of Lloyd and Hilda (Casner) Hart. She had been married to Frank Leo Frost, who passed away in 1969.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Rebekah Lodge and Homemakers Club in Bloomfield.
Survivors include: three daughters, Kay Raines of Bloomington, Pat Overman of Bloomington, and Betty Miller of St. Petersburg, Fla.; a brother Joe Hart of Switz City; three sisters, Ruth Michael of Bedford, Marjorie Winters of Linton, and Maxine Mooney of Cleveland, Ohio; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Frank Leo Frost, a son Robert Frost in 2002, and a sister Nellie Hogue.
Funeral service will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home, Bloomfield, with the Rev. Chris Gehring officiating. Burial will be in Switz City Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 4-8 p.m., and Saturday from noon until the hour of service. There will be a Rebekah Lodge Service on this evening at the funeral home.
