Mary McDonald, 96, formerly of Greene County, passed away at 4:15 a.m. on Sunday, May 29, 2005 at Washington Nursing Center. She had been seriously ill for two weeks.
Born Sept. 21, 1908, she was the daughter of Angel O. and Sylvia (Isom) Cottee.
She was educated in Washington Schools and most recently had been farming. She was a member of the Eastern Star. She attended Buelah A.M.E. Church in Washington.
Survivors include three nephews and a niece, Donald Cottee and Virginia Ross, both of Indianapolis, Ronald Cottee of Terre Haute, and Lloyd Cottee Jr. of Austin, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harold, two sisters and five brothers.
Funeral service will be conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Buelah A.M.E. Church, Washington, with the Rev. Ann Embry officiating. Burial will follow in Prairie Chapel Cemetery.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the hour of service Wednesday at the church.
