Betty Joan (Porter) Bailey, 66, of Springville, passed away at 12:50 a.m. on Thursday, March 31, 2005 at her residence.
Born June 2, 1938 in Greene County, she was the daughter of Clarence and Goldie (Ooley) Porter. She had been married to Earl (Wayne) Bailey, who passed away Aug. 16, 1999.
She was a homemaker and a member of Baptize Mormon.
Survivors include: a son Dennis Wayne Bailey of Springville; two daughters, Linda Bland of Springville, and Sandra and her husband Lee Hutchens of Bloomfield; a sister Dayle Hawkins of Springville; a brother Jerry Porter of Bloomington; five grandchildren, Joey Jackson of Owensburg, Shannon Carter of Solsberry, Tracy Roberts of Bloomfield, Travis Hutchens of Bloomfield, and Tami Jerrell of Linton; eight great-grandchildren, Jake Jackson of Owensburg, Bailey Jackson of Owensburg, Garrett Carter of Bloomfield, Makenzie Roberts of Bloomfield, Carter Roberts of Bloomfield, Draydon Jerrell of Linton, Shanae Jerrell of Linton, and Ashlee Whitfield of Bloomington; a step-grandson Leland Hutchens, Jr. of Bloomfield; and five step-grandchildren, Heather Davis, Ashley Davis, Christy Davis, Brittney Hutchens, and Ethan Hutchens, all of Bloomfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Earl Wayne Bailey, two sisters, Vernice Sullivan and Margaret Bex, and three brothers, Emery (Huck), Emil, and Kenneth Porter.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home, Bloomfield with Eddie Burch officiating. Burial will be in Flynn Cemetery, rural Bloomfield.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today, and from 10 a.m. until the hour of service Saturday at the funeral home.
