UNION CITY ---- Earl "Pete" Terhune, 80, of Union City, Ind., passed away Thursday, March 24, 2005 at Center of Hope in Union City, Ohio.
Born June 22, 1924 in Dugger, he was the son of Ollie and Flora (Borders) Terhune.
He was an Army veteran of World War II and a funeral director for over 40 years in the Union City area and owned Fraze & Timmons Funeral Home. He was active in community affairs and was a member of several civic organizations, including the Union City Rotary Club, American Legion Post 158, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, where he was a lifetime member.
Survivors include: his wife of 22 years Ruth Terhune; stepdaughter Connie and her husband Rick Gettinger of Union City; four sisters, Jane Simmons, Vanessa Thompson, Martha Goodman, and Kay Bedwell; two brothers, John and Tom Terhune; and three step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife Reginia Terhune, who passed away in 1978.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Drake County Hospice.
