John L. "Jiggs" Waggoner, 81, of Sandborn, passed away at 4:19 p.m. Friday, April 15, 2005, at Good Samaritan Hospital.
Born May 23, 1923 in Sandborn, he was the son of John T. and Goldie E. (Anderson) Waggoner. On August 24, 1941, he married Mary A. (Lind) Waggoner. She passed away September 10, 2001.
He was a supervisor with Blaw Knox Corp. He was with them for 31 years, retiring in 1987. He was a member of Sandborn Christian Church, the Sandborn Masonic Lodge 560 F&AM, and Sandborn Lions Club.
Survivors include: a daughter Martha Lee Cobb of Sandborn; a son John L. "Butch" Waggoner of Sandborn; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and one brother Robert D. Waggoner of Little Rock, Ark.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mary A. Waggoner, three grandchildren, two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be at Sandborn Christian Church at 11 a.m. Tuesday with Pastor Larry Martin officiating. Burial will be in Sandborn Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Monday at Anderson-Poindexter Funeral Home, Sandborn and from 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church until the time of services. There will be Masonic Memorial Services at the funeral home Monday.
