Irene Martin Hasler, 85, of Bloomfield, passed away at 12 p.m. Saturday, April 23, 2005 at Bloomington Hospital.
Born Sept. 13, 1919 in Newberry, she was the daughter of Elvan and Edith (Gilbreath) Martin. She was married to Don Hasler.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Bloomfield United Methodist Church, Tri Kappa Sorority in Bloomfield, the Mineral Ladies Aid, and Rebecca Lodge.
Survivors include: her husband Don Hasler of Bloomfield; two daughters, Brenda and her husband Jim Hughes of Sandborn, and Sherry and her husband Bill Hixon of Bloomfield; a son Gary Hasler and his wife Debbie of Bloomfield; seven grandchildren, Natalie Hughes of Atlanta, Ga., Brad Hughes, Valerie Lifford, and Megan Nonte, all of Bloomfield, Kara Bowling of Loogootee, Angie Smith of Jasper, and Troy Hasler of Clearwater, Fla.; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Cletus Martin, a sister Helen Townsend, and a great-granddaughter Kylie Hasler.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home, Bloomfield with the Rev. Billy Ed Hostettler officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Bloomfield.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today, and from 10 a.m. until the hour of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
