Janet L. Bluck, 70, of Washington, C.H. and formerly Ashville, Ohio, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2005 in Pickaway County, Ohio.
Born Jan. 8, 1935 in Marysville, Ohio, she was the daughter of Albert Carl and Opal (White) Wolpert.
She had been a reporter for the Circleville Herald and the Washington C.H. Record Herald. She was a member of First English Lutheran in Ashville , active at Good Shepherd Lutheran in Washington C.H., and was a mission interpreter with the Lutheran Synod for First English Lutheran. She was a graduate of Marysville High School. She was a life-long farmer, former member of Teays Valley School Board, D.A.R., very active in the Democratic Party and enjoyed politics. She enjoyed traveling and exploring, also was interested in local history. She was a volunteer with Magic Water Theater Group in Bainbridge and volunteered for the American Cancer Society.
Survivors include: her husband of 51 years Richard I. "Dick" Bluck; her family, Jim Bluck and his wife Sally of Clarksburg, Ohio, Robe Bluck of Washington, C.H., Jess Bluck and his wife Janie of Switz City, Carol and her husband Troy Johnson of Linton, and Chuck Frank of Circleville, Ohio; and her grandchildren, Josh, Abe, and Grace Bluck, Dustin and Maria Bluck, Zach and Maggie Frank, and Cody and Courtney Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Regina Frank and a sister Lois Piersol.
Funeral service will be at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday at First English Lutheran Church, 94 Long St., Ashville, Ohio, with Pastor Grace Werzinske officiating. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens, Circleville, Ohio.
Friends may call Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. and Thursday from 9-11 a.m. at the Oliver Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St. Ashville, Ohio, 43103.
