Linda E. Gibson, 61, of Jasonville, passed away at 10:15 a.m. on Tuesday, April 26, 2005 at St. Vincent Clay Hospital in Brazil.
Born Oct. 11, 1943 in Chicago, Ill., she was the daughter of Neal and Lillian Conners. On Feb. 5, 1965 she married Paul E. Gibson, Sr.
She was an elementary teacher for 36 years at the Metropolitan School District of Shakamak. She was a member of the Business Professional Women's Association, the Indiana State Teachers Association, National Education Association, and National Secretary for United English Breeders & Fanciers Association. She graduated from Indiana State University with a Master's Degree and was a licensed flight instructor through Aero Sports Connection for the National Ultra-Lite Association, of which she was a member.
Survivors include: her husband Paul E. Gibson, Sr. of Jasonville; a daughter Laura Gibson of Jasonville; a son and daughter-in-law Paul E. Jr. and Julie Gibson of Jasonville; a grandson Christopher Gibson of Jasonville; one niece and several nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Naomi Soderburg, and a brother Neal Conners.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Friday at the Shakamak Elementary Gymnasium. Burial will be in Peavey Cemetery at Howesville.
Friends may call from 5-9 p.m. on Thursday at McClanahan-Lee Funeral Home in Jasonville and Friday from 1 p.m. to service time at the school.
