James F. Cunningham, 69, of Dugger, passed away at 11:11 p.m. Saturday, March 12, 2005, at Terre Haute Regional Hospital.
Born April 11, 1935 in Greene County, he was the son of Joe and Dora Mae (Ellis) Cunningham.
He was an Army veteran and was employed with C&EI Railroad, Highlines, and retired from Amax Coal Co. He was a member of the Burris Chapel Church and the Dugger Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include: his wife Diane (Boone) Cunningham of Dugger; two sons, Darell Cunningham and Greg Cunningham, both of Dugger; three brothers, Bill Cunningham and his wife Ruth, Bob Cunningham and his wife Carolyn, all of Linton, and Ron Cunningham and his wife Judy of Oaktown; six sisters, Opal Vest and her husband Don, Beulah Shonk and her husband Steve, Joyce Bland and her husband Curt, and Sue Wallace, all of Linton, Pat Knotts and her husband Jim of Bloomfield, and Doris Medley and her husband Bud of Dugger; and four grandchildren, Drake Cunningham, Tara, Jarett, and Britt Lannan.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at Newkirk's Funeral Home in Dugger with the Rev. John Booker officiating. Burial will be in the Dugger Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. The Dugger Masonic Lodge will have a memorial service at 7 p.m.
