MERIDIAN, Idaho ---- C. Harold Johnson, 87, of Meridian, Idaho, passed away Monday, March 16, 2005, at his residence.
Born May 2, 1917 in Solsberry, he was the son of Clovis and Lucy (Campbell) Johnson. On March 21, 1938, he married Beatrice (Hamilton) Johnson.
He graduated from Solsberry in 1934. He moved to Menlo Park, Calif., in 1947, then to Fremont, Calif., in 1963, then in 1975 to Clovis, Calif., and in 1987 he settled in Meridian, Idaho to be closer to his daughter. In each area that he lived, Harold worked as a chef in a local country club. He loved to do crossword puzzles and work in his flower garden.
Survivors include: three sons, Jerry and his wife Judy Johnson of Livermore, Calif., Larry and his wife Dawn Johnson of New Zealand, and Garry Johnson of Felton, Calif.; one daughter Terri and her husband Ken Franklin of Meridian, Idaho; seven grandchildren, Joe Johnson, Catrina Johnson, Danielle Johnson, Rhett Johnson, Jenay Johnson, Tom Grow, and Tami Englist; five great-grandchildren; one brother Roy Johnson of Bloomfield; and two sisters Mildred Pizzola of Muncie and Mary and her husband Marvin Ducharme of Solsberry.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Beatrice Johnson, two brothers, Warren and Yank Johnson, and a sister Louise Prokopovich.
Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. at the Solsberry Cemetery on Saturday.
