Edith Helen Scamihorn, 90, of Dugger, passed away at 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 27, 2005 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born March 4, 1915 in Dugger, she was the daughter of Hezzie H. and Ora E. (Steele) Gambill. She had been married to Donald Scamihorn, who passed away March 13, 1961.
She was a seamstress. She was a member of the Sullivan Congregation of Jehovah's Witness.
Survivors include: two daughters, Karen and her husband Dick Goodman of Linton, and Lyndell (Lynn) and her husband Bill Imel of Anderson; five grandchildren, Don Scamihorn, Jill Wilkes, Byron Goodman, Amber Smitherman, and Devin Imel; and eight great-grandchildren, Junior, Matthew, Nathan and Brittany Scamihorn, Trent and Madison Wilkes, and Allison and Carson Smitherman.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Donald, a son Gordon Scamihorn, a great-grandson Quinton Wilkes, three brothers, Paul, Gene, and Harold Gambill and two sisters, Pauline Pope and Eunice Meurer.
Graveside service will be at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Antioch Cemetery in Dugger with the Bro. Richard Meurer officiating. Burial will follow at the cemetery.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today, and from 1-2 p.m. on Wednesday at the Anderson-Poindexter Dugger Chapel.
