Betty Frith, 78, of Worthington, passed away at 4 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 3, 2005 at Carl Arbors Nursing Center in Sovoy, Ill.
Born June 30, 1926 in Longview, Ill., she was the daughter of Willie E and Ella (Rankin) Bivens. She had been married to Earl W. "Bob" Frith, who passed away Dec. 1, 1995.
She retired in 1968 from the University of Illinois, where she worked in food service. She had lived in Worthington since she retired until three months ago, when she moved back to Illinois. She was a member of Worthington Church of Christ.
Survivors include: three children, Carolyn Lilly of Chetek, Wis., Bobby Frith of Champaign, Ill., and Judy Borton of Rice Lake, Wis.; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Earl W. "Bob" Frith.
Funeral service will be at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Worthington at 1 p.m. Monday with Ken Matthews officiating. Burial will be in Worthington Cemetery.
Friends may call after noon Monday at the funeral home.
