Anchor Enochs McKee, 88, of Stone Mountain, Ga., and formerly of Sullivan, passed away at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 3, 2005 at Southern Assisted Living Center in Stone Mountain, Ga.
Born Dec. 14, 1916 in Sullivan County, she was the daughter of Ruch and Gertie (Carrico) Enochs.
She was a member of the Eastern Star in Sullivan.
Survivors include: one son Ronald S. Rabbit of Nevada; one daughter Anchor R. (Bunny) Shepherd of Atlanta, Ga.; a sister Ruth Haub of Dugger; four grandchildren, Rick Shepherd, Elizabeth S. Hurst, Anchor M. Rabbit, and Jacqueline R. Crawley; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband John A. McKee, who passed away in 1994; four brothers, Alto Enochs, Claude Enochs, Virgil Enochs, and Donald Enochs; and one sister Dorothy Jerrells.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the Newkirk's Funeral Home, Dugger, with Chaplain Larry Robert officiating. Burial will be in Mount Moriah Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today, and before the service Tuesday at the funeral home.
