Ruth V. Medina, 93, of Crane, passed away Sunday, Feb. 6, 2005 after a brief stay at Meadowood Health Pavilion.
Born June 12, 1912 in Milburg, Mich., she was the daughter of Lloyd A. and Nelle (Phillipiy) Bishop.
She was the original clerk and treasurer of the town of Crane from 1965-81.
Survivors include: one daughter Sally E. Medina of Loogootee; three sons, Juan L. Medina and his wife Ruth of Mitchell, James P. Medina and his wife Barbara of Bloomfield, and Peter B. Medina of Crane; 13 grandchildren, Marci, Tommy, Eddy, Joe, Kenny, John, Jennifer, Juan Jr., Shelly, Susan, Kayla, Adam, and Betsy; one niece Delores Krenek of Coloma, Mich.; three nephews, Jerry Bishop and his wife Darby of Kalamazoo, Mich., and Joe and Jim Bishop of Florida; and 30 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Juan Medina, one son Thomas Medina, one daughter Ruth Nelle Medina, and two brothers, Art and Paul Bishop.
A memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Thursday at Crane Village Church in Crane with the Rev. Tom Medina officiating.
